Bude is a popular seaside town located on the North East Coast of Cornwall. Bude is well known for its beaches, walking & cycle paths, natural sea pool and of course Bude Tunnel, a plastic covered walk way stretching 70m from Sainsburys car park to Crooklets Road. A section of Bude's coast which is located between Compass Cove to the south and Furzey Cove to the north, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest noted for its geological and biological interest. Bude is accessed via the A39 Atlantic Highway. The name came from the Southern Railway's famous Atlantic Coast Express, which ran daily from Waterloo for forty years between 1926 and 1966, serving an area from Ilfracombe to Padstow. The Shack is located toward the lower end of town overlooking the River Neet. Nearby businesses include a Premier Inn as well as a selection of independent and national retailers, restaurants and public houses.
The Shack Restaurant benefits from a full premises licence and has been established for approximately six years. The premises is stylishly decorated with a modern rustic wooden interior and offers seating for between 40-50 customers. The restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere in which to enjoy freshly prepared Pizza’s, burgers, wraps and Burrito’s all washed down with a selection of alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. All items on the menu are available to take away. Alongside the main restaurant business, the owners provide meals to the Nightclub, BED, located behind the restaurant. The orders are served through a hatch in the kitchen directly into the nightclub. Our clients also provide a ‘Meals on Wheels’ service, a non-profit based business, providing hot meals to customers in Bude and the surrounding areas. Meals are priced at £7 and customers are required to order for a minimum of 3 days a week. The Shack has built a loyal local customer base over the years with the business benefitting from the huge tourism trade in the area.
