Paignton, Devon

The three coastal resorts of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham together form the Borough of Torbay with an indigenous population of over 120,000 and popularly known as The English Riviera. Goodrington with its long sandy beach sits between Paignton and Brixham. Goodrington Sands is a family friendly environment with many activities such as Splashdown Quaywest Water Park, Youngs Park, amusements arcades and water sports to entertain the family. All making for a great day out.

The Devon Ice Cream Shop is situated on the edge of the Goodrington Sands on the promenade which runs from one end of the beach to the other, looking out to sea and enjoying picturesque views of the bay.

The kiosk, which has operated for circa 100 years on the promenade, was fully refurbished to include high spec equipment in 2021. The owners offer a comprehensive range of scoop ice cream produced by award winning and locally based Farmer Tom. Carpigiani soft serve ice cream is available along side frozen lollies and sweet treats. A selection of Lavazza coffees, teas, hot chocolate and soft drinks are also available to purchase. We have been informed the lease will allow for the sale of hot takeaway food, should the next operator which to explore this avenue of income. The current owners operate the kiosk seasonally but again the lease allows for the business to trade throughout the year, providing a further income stream.
