Paignton is situated in Torbay, fondly referred to as the 'English Riviera', South Devon's beautiful bay surrounded by scenic countryside and stunning coastline, combining the resort towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. The area is well serviced by the South Devon link road (the A380), connecting Torbay to Exeter and the M5 motorway network. Torbay is also connected via a railway network to Exeter and beyond.

Twenty9 has recently been refurbished to a high standard with contemporary fixtures and fittings, creating a spacious and relaxed atmosphere. The 22 en-suite bedroom hotel has been equipped to accommodate foreign students and provides communal self-catering facilities. The hotel successfully traded the 2021 summer season, open to the general public providing breakfast on request. During the hotel’s refurbishment a new central heating boiler was installed together with an L2 fire alarm, new lighting system and CCTV. Broadband WiFi has also been connected to all floors. There is a lift to all floors however the current owners chose to decommission this. The next owners could very easily reinstate this service.
