Silverton is believed to be one of the oldest villages in the country, dating from the first years of the Saxon occupation. The Lamb Inn is situated in the heart of Silverton which is a thriving community in the heart of the beautiful Exe Valley with an excellent range of local facilities including an award-winning butcher's/delicatessen/stores, community hall, church, health centre and primary school (Ofsted - good). There are a variety of societies and organisations affiliated with the village that meet on a regular basis, many at the Lamb Inn. The popular National Trust owned Killerton House is about 3 miles south of the village and there are many other visitor attractions and stately homes in the vicinity. The university and cathedral city of Exeter is approximately 9 miles to the south of the village and the market town of Tiverton is only 8 to the north. The village is well connected via the A396 with access to the M5 only 5 miles away at Cullompton, Junction 28.
A deceptively large, detached property with painted and rendered elevations under a pitched slate roof. The property has been extended to the rear and side with a purpose built function room and additional utility space. A character property with particularly good owners accommodation - a 'proper pub' in the heart of this popular and thriving village close to Exeter city centre.
