The Appledore Inn is situated in the centre of popular North Devon town of Bideford, on the Estuary of the River Torridge. The area has a good size local population that increases in the summer months with visitors to the area. The narrow town centre streets lead down to a treelined quay, which bustles the fishing vessels, targo and pleasure boats. Ball clay and wood are the principle exports loaded onto boats at Bideford. The town is a lively and popular place throughout the whole year, with many traditional yearly events including the Bideford Folk Festival, Bideford Regatta, Bideford Water Festival and Bideford Carnival.
The Appledore Inn is a substantial terraced property with rendered elevations under a slate roof. The spacious L shaped trading area is open plan and serviced by a well equipped commercial kitchen. Outside there is an attractive paved beer garden with wooden picnic benches. The owner's accommodation comprises a good sized three bedroom flat with lounge, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. There is potential for part of this flat to be converted to letting rooms should the new owners wish.
