Lovington is a small village community situated adjacent to the B3153 and approximately 2 miles East of the A37. The main A303 trunk road is 4 miles the South. Lovington is situated 3 miles south west of Castle Cary a popular and pretty town, with a main line railway station between London, Waterloo and Exeter. Castle Cary is a small historic town containing a good selection of shops and some quality housing, both old and new. Although Lovington is situated in an attractive rural area, there is several major towns within easy distance. The largest of these is Yeovil, approximate 12 miles to the South, with Street and Gastonbury being a similar distance to the North West. Wols and Shepton Mallet are approximately 12 miles to the North.
The Pilgrims Rest is a large detached property arranged in a L shape, being constructed of stone with painted elevations under a pitched tiled roof.
