The Bull and Dragon is located in the centre of the village of Meeth on the A386 trunk road 10 miles north of Okehampton and Dartmoor and 3 miles north of Hatherleigh. The cathedral city of Exeter and the M5 are 30 miles east on the A30. The north Devon coastline with its popular resorts and excellent beaches are situated 17 miles north of Meeth. The start/finish of the famous Tarka Trail is a stone’s throw from the pub and attracts cyclists and walkers all year round. The nearby Devon Wildlife Trust nature reserve at Meeth Quarry is a popular visitor attraction and brings additional numbers to the area.
The Bull and Dragon is a Grade II listed public house believed to date from 15th century. With whitewashed walls under a newly thatched roof, the pub is a quintessential village inn, with attractive trade areas served by a well-equipped commercial kitchen and beautifully presented owners’ accommodation on the first floor. Outside there is ample parking, a paved trade garden and a large, low maintenance private garden for the owners.
